If you know about the Law of Attraction or not, the question everyone asks themselves in this life is, what do I want? Time may or may not alter your answers. Some will stay with you a lifetime, others will go by the wayside as your priorities in your life change.
The Law of Attraction has done much more than offer the idea we can have what we want, it’s taken off all the limits we have believed in. The possibilities are now endless and instead of creating comfort, this idea has for many just created more frustration and disappointment.
In our early stages of learning about the Law, most of us are excited about the unlimited options we can choose from. Then comes that feeling of being overwhelmed with too many options. Soon to be followed for many by the feeling of disappointment and doubt it’s even real when much of what we are asking for does not appear in our lives easily and quickly.
With every passing year our world gets bigger and our choices with it. A hundred years ago if you asked yourself what you wanted your choices would have been limited because your awareness of options was limited. While that may sound like a bad thing, in many ways it created less stress. If you have to choose between vanilla and chocolate ice-cream either way you are probably going to be happy because the next time you can get the other or even have both at the same time. But with unlimited variations on ice-cream now available, there can be that feeling like you are missing out on something. What if the other option would have made me happier? What if I choose something I don’t like?
What is really happening is that even though we have more choices our basic desire hasn’t really changed in the last 100 years or even the last 1000 years. It’s never really been about the vanilla or chocolate flavor, it is really the ice-cream itself we want. The quantity of choices just seems to confuse us about what it is we are really wanting for ourselves and so our point of attraction loses its focus and the Law can’t work for us very well.
